MRT at the Moab RedRok UTV Rally: Trails, Community, and Sticky-Tire Confidence

 

Moab delivered. We headed to Utah for the Moab RedRok UTV Rally—hosted at the Old Spanish Trail Arena—and found exactly what the off-road community shows up for: great people, guided rides on iconic slickrock, fun activities, and a vendor row packed with UTV builds and new products.

 

What the Rally Brings

Based out of the Old Spanish Trail Arena, the Moab RedRok Rally invites side by side enthusiasts of all skill levels for three days of offroad fun. Mornings kick off with guided trail rides across Moab’s legendary terrain, packed with amazing panoramic views, then the action shifts to the arena where top industry vendors showcase new products and custom builds.

Catered breakfasts and dinners for attendees keep everyone fueled, while activities like a Show ’n Shine, nightly raffles, and RedRok N’ Roll Bingo keep the good times rolling into the evening. The vibe is friendly and welcoming, with everyone sharing a passion for outdoor adventure. The Moab RedRok Rally focuses on responsible riding to keep public lands open for everyone to enjoy Moab’s unique beauty and diverse red rock terrain.

Hitting the Trails with UTV Utah

We joined Bud Bruening and the UTV Utah crew each day. Bud set the tone with clear briefings, smart pacing, and confident spotting that kept the group tight and safe.

 

Day 1 — Poison Spider:
Poison Spider opened with a long switchback before giving way to technical climbs, off-camber moves, and classic slickrock lines. We really enjoyed the technical crawling and scenic views the trail offered. When one machine rolled, the group didn’t miss a beat—straps came out, water got passed around, and the guides coordinated a clean recovery. We finished the trail together and on time—it was an amazing first day of riding! 

 

Day 2 — Cliffhanger:
After a gauntlet of challenging obstacles with steep climbs and drops, Cliffhanger led to breathtaking overlooks—including an amazing view of the Colorado River—before funneling into a single narrow-ledge section along a massive canyon, where traction and precise line choice mattered. With Bud’s direction and steady teamwork, the group moved methodically through the big features and wrapped up strong.

 

It was hot, but the camaraderie was cooler than the temps—folks shared water and snacks, spotted for each other, and made sure every rig that started the day rolled back to the trail head.

 

Our Setup for Moab

Back at the Arena
